SocrateCloud 13.03 is available.The 13.03 new version includes new functionalities and enhancements in the Commercial, Stocks, Payments, Costs and Accounting areas.The most important features are listed below:

SocrateCloud Testing Framework

• In order to help our customers to easily migrate to new versions, SocrateCloud includes now an internal testing mechanism, that allows defining and running a set of tests, before launching the new version in the production environment. The tests can be run also based on a schedule, the results being sent by mail to the process responsible. So, the testing time is decreased and the new version validated and ready for production.

Operational

• New “Production” document: the new document provides a simple method for assembling, disassembling and replacement, without using a complete and complex production flow. The document affects costs and has its own posting rule.

• Document re-opening: it’s a new process, applicable for any type of document that needs to be reopened (from Closed to Finalized)

• Business Partner statement: improved report in order to show both customer and supplier open items.

Costs

• Costs level: “Warehouse”: besides the existing cost levels (Tenant, Organization, Batch/lot), starting with the 13.03 version a new level was added. Using the Warehouse level in combination with the existing cost methods Fifo, Lifo, PMP, a detailed cost evidence can be obtained.

• New costing rule: starting with this version, the rule for obtaining the costs through the Order-Receipt (MatchPO) and Receipt - Invoice (MatchINV) association was simplified. The cost is obtained based on the selected values (Purchase Order or Invoice) on the “Receipt Match Requirement” field.

Accounting

• Excises calculus: this version provides also the possibility of manually operating the excises when needed

• Document numbering (sequences) can be defined now also at warehouse level

SocrateCloud 13.01 is now available for any size company.2013 starts with good news for companies that need to better manage their activity, using a complex, flexible ERP system, with lower cost of ownership.SocrateCloud, the ERP&CRM system developed by BITSoftware is now at the 13.01 version, the third one which can be deployed in cloud. Developed for different industries, SocrateCloud includes specific functionalities, and setup and implementation wizards for professional services, agriculture, telecommunication, making implementation of the solution much easier for companies activating in these areas.SocrateCloud comes with a new, modularized architecture which brings high scalability and multi-server deployments for high availability, supporting big data transactions and a high number of users, being platform and cloud independent.The news included in the 12.11, 12.12 and 13.01 versions can be read below:

Architecture

Security

• The login mechanism is based on email, instead of username
• Two-way authentication mechanism based on standard protocol OATH. Tokens can be generated on any smartphone with Android, iOS, blackberry

Printing

• Two types of printers are supported for batch processes: cloud-based printers and local printers (print servers) which can be configured on tenant level
• The PDF engine was changed and now the compresion rate is 1:10 comparing to previous versions, which means smaller files optimized for network traffic

User interface

• 3 additional themes can be chosen at user preference
• User errors are automatically captured and displayed as messages in the top conrner of the screen (new message box)
• Customization of Info Windows at Tenant level - starting with 13.01 version the Info Windows can be configured at tenant level, very important feature for cloud
• New "Attached files"Window - allows the management of all attached files in the system
• Error messages journal - at session level, each user can view the error mesages and send them by email to the application administrator
• Subtypes stock documents - possibility to define and use subtype documents for the stock documents

Sending mail

• Sending mails in asynchronous way: all the processes or worklow mechansims which have to send one or more mails at one moment, will be sent in an asynchronous way, so that the operator does not need to wait the process to send all the messages in order to continue his work.

Functionality

Multi-organizations

• Document numbering (sequences) can be defined at organization level, for each document type
• Info Account - multiple filter per organizations was added in the info window Dcuments (General)
• WishList functionality added for Sales Orders (orders can be entered quicker based on predefined customer preferences)
• Related (linked) products - the related products are added automatically on a sales order, after the selection of the base product.
• On line banking - support for ING Bank - integration for payments exports in MT 100 format adn export of statements in MT 940 format

Accounting/Costing

• FiFo inside the lot/batch method is supported
• Options for posting shipments - for consignment and different product types, with different meaning based on the warehouse type
• Multiple closing for income and expenses accounts for the same period
• VAT at collection - according to new VAT regulations
• Taxes: support tor excise (special taxes for alcohol, gasoline) and special reports
• 390 VIES Statement - update of the xml file according to the recent legislative changes
