Methodology and Approach

BITSoftware uses an Agile BI methodology that has been proven to deliver good results when appropriate business and IT participants are actively involved and consultants have access to the relevant data. A key aspect of this methodology is regular communication between the BITSoftware consulting team, business stakeholders and IT analysts in the customer organization. Development consists of a series of interactive "design / build / review" exercises that validate the business information model at regular intervals as data is added to the repository.

The methodology we have is focused on 6 aspects of a BI project: Business, Process, Data, ETL, Technology and Roles. This methodology has different phases: Scope Definition, Actual Analyses, Solution Blueprint (Conception and Prototyping), Architecture Specification, Data Model, Application Development, Test and Deployment. It addresses many BI projects concerns: data quality, alignment of solutions to business benefits, adapted solutions to different profiles of users, change management and the strategic planning of BI.
